34 In light of these results, the remainder of the HLUC05 demonstration test scenarios considered the DER simulation in the Mafra MV network, with additional simulated flexibilities, in order to test grid limits. Different approaches were considered for the role of the DSO (maximization of a market facilitator role vs. more restricted criteria analysis in the evaluation of flexibility bids), as well as the simulation of a network contingency occurence, during day-ahead analysis which impacts on the TLS assessment results. Furthermore, the effect of closing a breaker at the MV-side of the primary substation was also analysed to balance the loading of the primary substation when one of its two transformer pairs reach their thermal limit. Results fromHLUC06 - Providing data management and exchange between DSO and stakeholders Regarding the Portuguese demonstrator, Figure 4.15 depicts overall deployment based on the cases where the gm-hub plays a central role, allowing data exchange. The gm-hub interfaces between the demo installations and EDP’s OT environment, where a series of control tools were deployed, namely the MPOPF, Forecaster and LVC components. These tools were deployed in a series of virtual machine instances in EDP’s OT environment. Communication between these tools and the gm-hub is available, depending on the ICT communication direction, distinguishing between in-bound and out-bound traffic (from the EDP OT environment perspective). Interaction between these components is bounded by the exposed service APIs on the gm-hub, namely the Traffic Light System API and the Forecasting API.
