This flexibility could be offered as an ancillary service to the TSO or to be used for DSO grid purposes. Although there are two primary cases of use “1) Commercial VPP for offering ancillary services to the TSO” and “2) Flexibility operator of technical VPP”; in the Portuguese demonstrator, the second use case was of maximum importance for solving local congestion and voltage problems as the EDP Distribuição demo site included the MV distribution grid. KPI calculation The following metrics were then calculated as a result of the HLUC12 demonstration.Table 4.14 shows the KPI results together with a brief description.
