Table 4.12 shows the KPI results together with a brief description. After verifying that a large services building (Lisbon building) was providing such a low value of flexibility (17.5 kW on average) a lower value was expected for the second building, which had even lower consumption. The KPI resolution makes it appear as though no variation was registered when the Leiria building was added (which only netted 3 kW to the total flexibility available), but in fact it represents a 20% increase. This low value also explains the almost constant value in the simulated participation of the ancillary services market. This constant value in the latter submissions is also explained by the fact that the last tests performed in Leiria did not result in any consumption decrease, as most of the VC units were shut-off – people locked down at home due to the virus outbreak. Constraints in the number of tests performed daily related to the thermal comfort of building inhabitants explain why Engagement comes back to the value 1 activation/day.
