Integrid - Bridging the Gap
18 select cost-effective maintenance plans for end-of-life assets based on the prioritization guidelines issued by business analysts and regulatory requirements. By merging extensive sensor data from substations, historical failure data and big data analytics, SAP has built a predictive maintenance environment for Ellevio, EDP Distribuição and INESC TEC, a predictive analytics library, modelled the Ellevio and EDP Distribuição transformer assets, prepared the datasets for analysis and performed data analytics. Software: Addresses the prediction of MV/LV dry distribution of transformer’s health based on the load data, the physical characteristics, and historical failures. The load data is used to feed an advanced algorithm capable of evaluating the real age of the MV/LV transformer. This information is then combined with the physical characteristics (e.g. MV/LV transformer size and manufacturer) and historical failures to predict the failure probability and remaining useful life. Innovative features: • A new algorithm for calculating the aging-rate and max permissible load for a dry transformer based on sensor interval data. • Integration of statistical techniques, more specifically, survival models and physical models to improve asset condition forecasts. Final TRL: 6/7 Improve repair of unplanned outages and remote diagnosis The goal of InteGrid was to define optimal repair actions for unplanned outages based on sensor data, historical information and remote equipment diagnostics. The demo at Ekerö was equipped with 12 fault indicators in two substations with a total of 4,000 customers. Online communication between fault indicators and the dispatch centre outage time can be reduced and repair costs go down. The values from 2016 to 2018 make up the baseline to be compared with 2019/2020 when the fault indicators were fully integrated into the SCADA/ADMS and work management system. The results show that the technology and process perform well under normal operation. Ellevio will take the fault location and isolation to the next level. By installing more fault indicators and remote disconnectors in our grid and adding more FLISR functionality to ADMS. Final TRL: 8 Business Domain: Grid andMarket Hub Grid and Market Hub Platform The grid and market hub (gm-hub) provides the integration link between energy sector stakeholders (e.g. flexibility operators, retailers, service providers, grid users) to build an integrated environment to enable demand response, smart grid functions and Operational data from transformers Apply algorithms to detect issues and predict performance Actions Analys asset data Define optimal solution Deciding optimum solution Collection asset data Communication system Measurement system Figure 3.3 – Concept of InteGrid asset health diagnosis for predictive maintenance
